FC Kids!
Welcome to Fellowship Church Kids!
Fellowship Church Kids! are made up of three children’s environments: Nursery (birth to 2 1/2), Kids Town (ages 3-5) and Gambogee Place (ages 6-11).
All three environments come together with the adult Sunday Morning Service once a quarter in our Family Experience. Our Family Experience is a time of music, dance, drama, story-telling and fun all centered around a biblical virtue that all of us need to practice. It’s purpose is to strengthen the family in this parent-child bond that leads to talking about spiritual things more often.
There are a few beliefs that drive what we do at FCKids! We believe:
- Children are a gift from God and should be handled with love.
- Children are important to God and Christ died to forgive them for their sin.
- Christ has called children to follow Him and they can be equipped to serve Him and others.
- God appointed parents as the primary Christian instructors for their children. The church’s role is to help train and assist them in this task.
- Children deserve a safe, positive, fun, and nurturing learning environment that is free of fear and pressure to grow up.
- Effective volunteers are the most important element of our ministry.
- Children look to their adult leaders as role models.
- A successful Children’s Ministry is the shared responsibility of parents, ministry staff, volunteers, and the church body.
- FCKids! Must be creative, innovative, and relevant to the children and families of our community.

Our mission is to partner with parents to lead children into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. The reason we say to partner with parents is because we believe that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. This is not to say that what happens at church isn’t important, but we realize that the amount of time to influence a child is so minimal compared to the 2000-3000 hours a year that parents get. We want to partner with parents to say the same thing we’re saying so that two combined influences working together can accomplish this mission. You’ll hear us talk about this principle as being “Orange.” Go Orange with us!
