Policies and Procedures

Fellowship Church Kids! General Policies and Procedures

Check In/Out

Check In begins 15 minutes at two locations (one in the Nursery and one in the Gambogee/Kids Town environments) and ends 15 minutes after service begins.   Parents can check in all of their children in one location and then escort kids to their age appropriate environment.  It is asked that only one parent check in and out their child in order to keep the area running smoothly.  Parents and child receive adhesive tags with matching security ID #’s.  We ask that the tag with the child’s name be place either on the back (if baby or toddlers so they can’t take them off) or somewhere on their clothing so that volunteers can learn their names or use their ID # to contact you.  Families must show their matching ID # at check out. If parent loses their ID # stub they are asked to show a photo ID.

Contacting You

Parents are asked not to look in on their children during the services.  This may cause the child to get upset thinking it is time to go.  If a parent needs to be reached during service, the ID # will appear in a display box located on the stage. If your # is displayed, please report to your child’s church area.

Safety

FC is committed to keeping children safe while in our care. All volunteers must undergo a national criminal background check BEFORE they are approved to serve.  (Some unchecked volunteers may serve with another team during their initial and observing process time, but only checked and approved volunteers are directly leading your children into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.)

Kids Town children will be escorted to the restroom and will wait in the hallway outside of the restrooms for them.  They will not give assistance to the child, so potty training is a must.  Gambogee Place children will be permitted to go to restroom on their own once they receive teacher permission.  Please have children use restroom before coming to their church area.

We have developed age appropriate curriculum and classroom settings. For the best experience and the safety of your child, we strongly recommend children attend in the appropriate age church experience.

Wellness Policy

To assure the well being of others, please do not check your child in if they have any of the following:

  • Vomiting or Diarrhea in the past 24 hours
  • Green/yellow discharge from nose/mouth
  • Contagious or undiagnosed rash
  • Sore throat or persistent cough
  • Fever
  • Pink Eye

Parents will be paged if a child appears ill while in our care.
